Draw the Line Before Your Cash Flow Breaks.

A message from our co-founder on why saying 'No' to overdue customers is a business necessity — and how our app guides that decision logically.

95%

recovery rate when credit is under 30 days. After 90 days, it drops below 50%.

The Silent Erosion

₹2,00,000 stuck in 90+ day credit means your shop is operating entirely on borrowed cash.

The Emotional Trap

Merchants keep lending out of guilt. Without a logical barrier, the default hole gets deeper.

Saying 'No' to a regular customer is one of the hardest parts of running a retail shop in India. They look you in the eye and say, "Write it in the ledger, I'll pay next week." Because you have a relationship, you feel bad refusing. I built Overdue Account Flags to draw a logical line for you.

The Problem 01

Sales ≠ Cash Flow

Many shopkeepers fail to distinguish between total sales and actual cash flow. If your shop does ₹5,00,000 in monthly sales but has ₹2,00,000 stuck in 90+ day credit, you're running on borrowed money.

The Aging Death Spiral

Credit pending under 30 days has a 95% recovery rate. After 90 days? Less than 50%. Every week of inaction makes recovery exponentially harder — and the merchant doesn't even realize the money is gone.

Guilt-Driven Lending

Customers look you in the eye and say "Just write it down." Because they're neighbors and regulars, you feel guilty refusing. So you keep lending, and the default hole gets deeper — silently.

02 The Solution

Automated Aging Alerts

Rupaya Khata automatically flags customer profiles when their dues cross 30, 60, or 90 days without any repayment. No manual tracking needed — the system watches the clock for you.

One-Tap Credit Freeze

Lock accounts instantly to stop customers from requesting additional credit until past dues are cleared. The app warns you if you attempt to add more dues to a frozen profile.

Objective Decision-Making

When the app shows a red flag with "92 days overdue," it gives you the objective facts to protect your cash without feeling guilty. The data draws the line — not you.

FAQs

Overdue Flagging FAQ

What triggers an Overdue Flag? +
The flag is automatically triggered when a customer has an outstanding balance that remains completely unpaid past your selected credit period (e.g. 30, 60, or 90 days).
Will locking an account notify the customer? +
No. Account locking is purely a private guide within your dashboard to stop you from adding more credit transaction entries for that customer. The customer will never know.
Can I unlock a customer's credit later? +
Yes. Credit freezes are fully reversible. Once the customer clears their overdue balance, you can unlock their credit facility with a single tap.
Will this flag show up on the customer's live statement? +
No, this is an internal business control for you. The customer's live statement will simply show their overdue balance clearly, without any "locked" terminology.
How does this help my business? +
By enforcing a hard stop on bad credit, you prevent capital erosion. It removes the emotional guilt of denying further credit because you are simply following the app's rules.
