Mahmuda Begam was born and raised in Bihar, India. She grew up in a place where resources were limited and life was not always easy. Despite the challenges, she believed that education and hard work could create better opportunities.

While growing up, she saw many small shopkeepers and business owners working hard every day to support their families. They had the dedication to succeed, but many struggled because they did not have access to the right knowledge, tools, or technology.

This inspired her to think about how simple technology could make life easier for small business owners.

After completing her graduation in Bihar, Mahmuda became passionate about helping small businesses grow. She believes that technology should be simple, affordable, and easy for everyone to use—regardless of their background or education.

Today, she works with the Rupaya Khata team to build tools that help shopkeepers manage their accounts, create bills, track payments, and run their businesses more efficiently.
